Dr. Abdul Hameed
Dr. Abdul Hameed completed his PhD in Organic Chemistry from The University of  Nottingham, UK. He worked in the area of natural products synthesis. Research was focused to employ alkylidene carbene insertion reaction to build the key N-bearing quaternary center in an enantioselective way in the natural products such as (-)-Cephalotaxine, (+)-Lactacystin and Kaitocephalin. He was also a post-doc fellow in Max-Planck Institut für Polymerforschung, Germany in synthetic division headed by Prof. Dr. Klaus Müllen. There he worked on the functionalization of adenylyl cyclsase inhibitors via chemical methods to conjugate them with monoclonal antibody to study their biological potential in Regulatory T cells (Treg). He has vast experience in the area of synthetic organic chemistry. So far, he has produced 8 publications in different peer review international and national journals. The current research interests are including
1) the development of novel methodologies,
2) their utilization in natural products synthesis
3) the synthesis heterocyclic compound compounds to evaluate their biological potential.
